What is an eSIM?

An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital version of a traditional SIM card that’s built directly into your compatible device. Instead of inserting a physical SIM, you simply scan a QR code that securely installs your mobile service.

If your device supports eSIM, you can connect to the mobile network without waiting for a SIM card to arrive in the mail.

Some phones also support dual SIM, allowing you to use both a physical SIM and an eSIM — for example, one for personal use and one for work.
