How do I Update a Monitoring Service After a Resident Passes Away?
This information applies to Professionally Monitored Services. Click here to cancel a self-monitored service.
To update a Home Monitoring Service following the passing of a resident, follow the appropriate steps below:
If No Residents Remain at the Address
Click here to stop the home monitoring service.
If Other Residents Remain (e.g., a spouse)
Email our Service Modifications Team (address below) with the following:
- Service Address
- Name of the resident to be removed
NOTE: Other residents and emergency contacts linked to the service will remain unchanged.
To audit or verify resident data, download the Active Services report from the Member Portal. Instructions for this process are available in the Handbook for Residential Community Managers.
