Device Upgrade Instructions - 3G to 4G base unit

To activate your new 4G base station, remove the SIM card from your existing myhomefone 3G base station, and insert it into the new unit. To locate the SIM card, please look at the bottom of the myhomefone base - the image below shows the symbol indicating where the SIM slot is, the SIM card is white, and inserted just in front of that symbol.

Removing SIM from 3G unit – turn the base upside down. On the right side, shown below, there is a slot for the white SIM card. Push it in, and the SIM will pop out. Remove the SIM card.

The diagram below shows the features of your new 4G phone. The slot for the SIM card is at the back of the base unit. With the gold section facing down, and the cut-out facing towards the front, push the SIM all the way in until it clicks into place. Orientation is the same way that it came out of the old unit.

Once the SIM card has been inserted, you can plug the power cord into the device and into the power point. Turn the power point to ON, and then turn the base on using the power switch at the back of the device (shown above). The device will make a noise, and the lights will flash on.

Place the handset onto the base, and it will turn on automatically. Wait for “Telstra” to appear on the screen, this can take up to 60 seconds. Your device is now ready to make calls.

If you ever need to move the device, or the device displays “No Line”, it may need to be reset. Simply:
1. Switch the handset off by holding down the Red Phone button (like you are hanging up a call)
2. Switch the base power switch to OFF
3. Switch base power switch to ON
4. Place handset on the base, it will turn on automatically. Wait for “Telstra” to show on screen
