Restoring your NBN service after an outage

Connection Troubleshooting Post Outage

If you have received a notification from us that an outage impacting your service has been resolved, please allow up to 30 minutes for your service to restore to normal.

After a wide spread outage, it's typical for a sudden influx of users all attempting to connect at the same time. Because of this "queue",  connecting online can take longer than normal.

If your modem/router still hasn't come online after waiting at least 20 minutes, performing a power cycle often helps force the re-establishment of your connection. Click here to learn the correct process.

TIP: Even if you haven't yet received a restoration notice, it doesn't hurt to periodically power cycle equipment. Sometimes, services partially or fully restore before an official restoration notice is issued by NBN.
