How to transfer or close an account in the event of a death

What documentation is required?

We can accept any one of the following as proof of death:
  1. Death certificate
  2. Doctors' medical certificate
  3. Grant of Probate
  4. Letters of Administration
  5. Funeral bill
  6. Death notice
  7. Link to funeral notice or obituary

Who can submit the request?

  1. The executor, administrator, or trustee of the estate
  2. A lawyer or solicitor overseeing the will
  3. The deceased's closest living relative
  4. A power of attorney
  5. Any authorised contact listed on the account

To Change Ownership

Depending on the type of service, you may be able to retain the service and transfer the ownership to another individual. Please contact our accounts team with the above specified documentation and list which services are to be retained and which are to be cancelled.
   

To Cancel All Services & Close Account

To close the account and terminate any associated services, please contact our cancellations with the above specified documentation.
   

Equipment

We'll let you know if any equipment needs to be returned such as handsets or modems.

Prepaid Balances

Unfortunately we're unable to refund any unused credit or access fees paid in advance.
