How to Turn Caller ID On or Off on Your Mobile Phone
For temporary caller ID blocking:
- To block your caller ID on a call-by-call basis, dial #31# followed by the number you're calling.
For example: #31#0491575254 - To unblock your caller ID on a call-by-call basis (if your number is permanently blocked), dial *31# followed by the number you're calling.
For permanent caller ID blocking:
Most mobile phones have a setting called "Show My Caller ID" that can be turned off.
You can usually find this setting in the Settings > Phone menu, but its location may vary depending on your device. Refer to your device's user manual for specific instructions.
To check if your mobile number is visible to callers:
- Dial *#31# and then press the Send/Call button.
- A message will appear on your screen confirming the status of your caller ID.
