Wi-Fi Hotspot - Changing network name & password

Using your Handset, hit Menu and scroll down to ‘Base Option.’ Enter the PIN as ‘0000’ (4 x zero) and press the ‘Menu’ button. Scroll down to ‘WLAN Settings’ and hit ‘Menu.’ Scroll down to ‘ON’ and hit ‘Menu.’

Hit ‘Menu’ again and your Wi-Fi network name will appear on the screen under the heading ‘SSID.’ The default name will either be ‘Myhomefone’ or ‘DT_7X.’

You can change this name by hitting the ‘Menu’ button and then deleting the existing name by pressing the ‘R/INT’ button located on your handset at the bottom under the zero. You can then enter your preferred name using the keypad. Press ‘Menu’ to save the new name.

Press ‘Menu’ again to see the password, which will be displayed under the heading ‘Security’. This too can be changed using the same process. Press ‘Menu’, then delete the existing password using the ‘R/INT’ button before re-entering your new password. Press ’Menu’ to save the new password.

Anytime you reset your base by turning it off and back on again at the switch located at the rear of the base, your Wi-Fi network name and password will revert to their default settings.
